  • Herndon Centennial Golf Course (Herndon) This 18-hole golf course has been recognized by Golf Digest for many years in the “Places to Play” category. It is a par 71 course measuring 6,445 yards. The course rating is 68.7, and has a 116 slope rating. There is a complete practice facility, golf shop, and JJ Deli. Professional instruction offered at Herndon Centennial Golf Course includes group and family lessons and junior golf camps. Golf associations at Herndon Centennial include Herndon Golfers Club, Herndon Seniors and Duffers, and the Herndon Ladies Golf League. Special Events include free instructional clinics, the Major’s Tournament Series, Junior Open Golf Tournament, and Seniors Series (60 and over). Comparatively low fees and recent renovations make this public course among the best in the area.
  • Hilltop Golf Club (Alexandria) The Hilltop Golf Course is billed as Northern Virginia’s Finest 9 Hole Golf Course. The practice facility has 68 hitting bays (20 bays covered and heated), chipping and putting greens, and practice bunker for sand shots. Hilltop Golf Club has instructors for every level golfer and juniors to seniors. There are four par 4 holes and five par 3 holes.

    Penderbrook Golf Club has weekday and 7-day single and family membership opportunities.  Penderbrook Golf Club was built in 1980 as a par 71 championship design.  This is a challenging 18-hole layout featuring 7 water holes and more than 60 bunkers.  The course design of the Penderbrook course requires a higher degree of accuracy over distance.

  • Pohick Bay Regional Park Golf Course (Lorton) This is a 18-hole municipal golf course with full-service pro shop, driving range, practice putting and chipping greens. It is a par 72 measuring 6,405 yards from the longest tees. NOVA Golf School provides lessons at this Northern Virginia Parks golf course.
  • Pleasant Valley Golf Club (Chantilly) This 18-hole championship course offers natural surroundings and has complete facilities for tournaments. It is a par 72 course measuring 6,915 yards with a 72.9 course rating and 135 slope. Pleasant Valley Golf Shop offers a pro shop, bar and grill, and youth summer camps.
  • Reston National Golf Course (Reston) Reston National Golf Course is an 18-hole regulation length course measuring 6,897 from the longest tees. It is a par 71 with 73.7 course rating and 136 slope rating. The clubhouse has restaurant and golf shop offering club repairs and certified custom fitting with club purchases.

  • Westfields Golf Club (Clifton) This is a Fred Couples Signature Golf Course. It has been rated as “Best Places to Play” by Golf Digest Magazine. Westfields is a 18-hole regulation course, par 71 with 5 tee boxes offering distances between 4,600 to 7,000 yards. The course has a 73.1 rating and 136 slope score. Amenities include a pro shop, putting and pitching greens, and driving range. Daily range passes are available for $20 offering unlimited range balls. Dining facilities offer wedding, banquet, and special event packages for up to 200 people.
  • Burke Lake Park (Fairfax Station) Burke Lake Golf Center is an 18-hole par 3 course with a 40 station driving range, practice bunker, and 8,000 square foot putting green.
  • Greendale (Alexandria) Greendale Golf Course is an 18-hole regulation course. It is a municipal course offering a full-service clubhouse, food and beverage service, pro shop, club rentals, and practice putting green. Private lessons and group packages are available. This is a par 70 course measuring 6,353 yards with a 70.9 course rating and 128 slope.
  • Jefferson District Park (Falls Church) Jefferson District Park has a 9-hole executive length par 35 golf course measuring 2,472 yards with 63.0 course rating and 98 slope. Course fees range between $18-$22.

    Laurel Hill Golf Club was built on the Lorton Prison grounds of the D. C. Department of Corrections. It is a highly regarded municipal golf course operated through the Fairfax County Park Authority.

The 9,400 square foot clubhouse has a pro shop, changing areas, and dining facilities capable of handling groups of 144 people. There is also a bistro, full-service kitchen for catering, and conference rooms for business meetings. The catering staff at Laurel Hill Golf Club offers everything from a continental breakfast buffet to formal dining fare.
  • Oak Marr Park (Oakton) Oak Marr Golf Course is a 9-hole par 3 golf course measuring 1,456 yards. The hole distances are between 95 to 200 yards. Oak Marr has a 78 station driving range with heated tee areas. The practice facility has a putting green, chipping area, and sand bunker. Private and group lessons are provided by Every Body Golf School.
  • Pinecrest (Alexandria) Pinecrest Golf Course is at the intersection of Little River Turnpike (Route 236) and Braddock Road (Route 620). This is a narrow 9-hole executive course with several hills and ponds over 2,462 yards. There is a full-service clubhouse with pro shop and snack bar accompanying an indoor practice range, putting green, and 10 driving cages.

  • Twin Lakes Golf Course has two 18-hole courses. Inaugurated in 1998, The Oaks Course is a par 71 and 6,715 yards. It has several tees to challenge golfers with varying degrees of playing abilities. The holes are tree-lined on both sides of the fairway making accuracy important on every swing to stay in play. The Lakes Course was opened in 1967, and the course features a par-72 and 6,695-yard challenge. The Lakes Course requires longer drives but has open fairways and easier approaches than the Oaks Course. Twin Lakes Golf Course has a 36 station driving range, large practice green, professional shop, and clubhouse available for banquets, special events, and meetings.

  • Army Navy Country Club The Army Navy Country Club has facilities in Fairfax and Arlington. Between the 2 club locations there are 54 championship golf holes, a highly regarded tennis center with 22 tennis courts (6 indoor courts), 6 swimming pools, a fitness center, and golf and tennis pro shops.  The dining facilities at both clubhouses offer several options including catering for several hundred people.
